Our Goal: To provide support for parents and their children.
A little of what we offer...
Weekly Activities: The Tulsa Family Club prides itself on providing various wonderful activities for the members. The activities are posted each month on our website and in a newsletter that is distributed via email and can be viewed on the web site: www.tulsafamilyclub.org. Members of the club take turns volunteering to plan monthly activities for the whole group. The activities can range from a day at the park to a zoo outing or "open playgroups" at a particular member's home to tours at local businesses. Each month is different and we try to have at least 3-4 activities a week. These activities can also be viewed on our web site.
Play groups: Play groups consist of a small group of members with children of similar ages. They are more intimate than the general club gatherings, where each person takes a turn hosting at his or her house. Some play groups may choose to do a club activity as their play group that day or go to the park to change things up. These decisions are made within your small group. You do what works for you and your children. Play groups provide small-group socialization for both the child and the parent.
Mom's Night Out: Once a month we moms get together for some much-needed time with the girls! We've had dinner at local hotspots, scrapbooking nights, annual scavenger hunts, beading jewelry at a local bead shop, game nights and more. These are usually well-attended and highly-anticipated events enjoyed by all! We all go back to our families refreshed, energized and ready for another day.
Dad's Night Out: Dads need their time away as well. So our dads have a monthly get together for some golfing, poker, sports night, or just hanging out at a local restaurant.
Hobby Groups: Tulsa Family Club offers special interest groups to connect you with others with a similar interest. They meet usually once a month as determined by the group. Some groups currently meeting or that have met in the past include book club, knitting group, fitness group, Bible study, and scrapbooking.
Sunshine Committee: We try to stay involved with all of our members to support them in their times of need. Whether at the joyous arrival of a new baby or the harder times of loss of a family member or medical emergency or illness, we have a committee tasked especially with going above and beyond at times of need for our members.
